Ingredients
Steps
Cube the watermelon: Cut 0.5 cups watermelon, cubed into bite-sized pieces the night before. Watermelon packed cold holds up way better than room temp. This is the step that takes the most time — which is still about 90 seconds.
Roll the turkey: Take 3 turkey roll-ups (deli turkey, rolled tight) and roll each slice into a tight cylinder. Stands upright in the bento compartment, looks intentional, requires zero effort. Kids love them. Adults love them. No one talks about how easy they are.
Load the bento: Pack everything into your Flex Bento by compartment — 0.5 cups watermelon, cubed and 0.3 cups blueberries together in the large section, 3 turkey roll-ups (deli turkey, rolled tight) and 2 string cheese sticks in their own sections, 10 crackers (your kid's favorite kind) in the last one. Tuck 1 piece of dark chocolate (the one you're not telling anyone about) somewhere strategic. Seal the lid.
Refrigerate overnight: Pop the sealed bento straight into the fridge. In the morning, grab it on the way out the door. The lid stays closed, nothing migrates into anything else, and it arrives exactly the way you packed it.
Notes
The Dreamroo difference: Pack this directly in your Flex Bento and refrigerate it sealed. Platinum-grade silicone stays cold longer than plastic, doesn't absorb smells from the fridge, and nothing leaches into your fruit overnight. The lid seals tight enough that you can toss it in a pool bag without a second thought.
Swap ideas: Grapes instead of blueberries · Salami instead of turkey · Hummus in a small silicone container on the side · Add cucumber slices if your kid is in their vegetable era.
Serves: 1 adult or 1 very hungry kid. Double or triple everything for a family pool day — it scales perfectly.
